I, too, began to use all my candles and skincare products last year, and it feels so so wonderful to not waste things and actually feel like I'm worthy of using my "nice" things!

Right? Using them up before they expire is really worth it

Loved the newsletter, Resh, especially the idea about lighting your candles...there are always too many candles and too few special occasions - and I would rather indulge and let the candle illumine an otherwise quotidian day. Hope the year ahead for you is filled with many beautiful lit moments!

Hello! I’m in the same boat too with regards to using my stuff... I like that your letter begins with that. Especially at the start of the year! And espec scented candles. I love them but they feel so luxurious. I mean I get special days but as u say, there was a thing where I didn’t use stuff at all - espec things with expiration dates. The past year or so has seen me through a similar shift... in actually using my stuff and not just stowing things away for a rainy day. I wear perfume often too. That rainy day rarely happens. I’ve screenshotted some of these books, and thanks again for the shoutout, you didn’t have to, but it felt so nice and like being in cahoots with another fellow creative and anyway, keep doing the cool things!!!!! 🍓

Thank you for reading Roanna. I hope you enjoy the books that caught your eye. And I agree. I wear perfume a lot more these days because these are things that are on the lowest priority when moving countries/cities. And I've also started buying smaller bottles because that's all that I can finish before they expire away.
